Ali Zulfikar was raised in a Muslim household after he was born on January 1, 1976, in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Rajshahi and Bogura were Zahedi’s homes throughout his formative years. Before beginning a career in the pharmaceutical sector, his father, Motiur Rahman Zahedi, received a Master of Science degree and worked as a professor at Rajshahi University.
First completing his elementary education in Bogura City, Zahedi moved on to complete his secondary education at Gazipur. After that, he was accepted to study at the BAF Shaheen College in Dhaka. Zahedi received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration after moving to India. After finishing his education, he returned to Bangladesh and started a career in the business world there. After that, he was accepted to the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM), where he would continue his education in human resources.

Immediately after his graduation, Zahedi began his professional career by accepting a position as a sales executive with a Korean firm. Soon after, he quit his job at the firm in 2000 and went on to get his PGDPM. After that, he started working for a Japanese multinational corporation (M.N.C.), but not for long since he soon accepted a position with an American multinational corporation (M.N.C.). After serving in that capacity for three years, he left his position at the American headquarters.
