In the following paragraphs, we will take a more in-depth look at Ali Zulfikar Zahedi and the influence that he has had on the film business in Bangladesh.

The First Years of Life and Education

Ali Zulfikar was raised in a Muslim household after he was born on January 1, 1976, in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. Following the partition of Pakistan, his family relocated to Bogura, where his maternal grandfather had been a successful local trader, before settling in the Dhaka District. Rajshahi and Bogura were Zahedi’s homes throughout his formative years. Before beginning a career in the pharmaceutical sector, his father, Motiur Rahman Zahedi, received a Master of Science degree and worked as a professor at Rajshahi University.

First completing his elementary education in Bogura City, Zahedi moved on to complete his secondary education at Gazipur. After that, he was accepted to study at the BAF Shaheen College in Dhaka. Zahedi received his Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Business Administration after moving to India. After finishing his education, he returned to Bangladesh and started a career in the business world there. After that, he was accepted to the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM), where he would continue his education in human resources.

A fascinating career in the corporate world

Immediately after his graduation, Zahedi began his professional career by accepting a position as a sales executive with a Korean firm. Soon after, he quit his job at the firm in 2000 and went on to get his PGDPM. After that, he started working for a Japanese multinational corporation (M.N.C.), but not for long since he soon accepted a position with an American multinational corporation (M.N.C.). After serving in that capacity for three years, he left his position at the American headquarters. Zahedi uprooted his life and moved to Qatar, where he obtained a position with Al Baidah Trading & Contracting W.L.L. as a business development manager. In addition to that, he was the Head of Sales and Marketing at the Qatari company QADCO-Decotech. Currently, Zahedi is employed by Terpac Plastic International, which includes Canada, as country manager.

Transition to the film world

Writing a television book for a television network was the first step in Zahedi’s journey into the entertainment business. Later, he became a member of the T.V. Directors Guild of Bangladesh after directing several television programs. Writing was a career path that Zahedi was encouraged to follow by his father. Even before it was officially released, one of his short films, The Clay, which he made under his firm Addrian Film Entertainment, won tremendous acclaim worldwide. “Kagoz” was a film title that Zahedi made and released in 2022. The film is about a secret life that comes to light after someone dies.

Both Mamnun Hasan Emon and Airin Sultana play pivotal parts in the plot of this romantic thriller novel. 2022 saw the debut of the movie in theaters. This was Zahedi’s first time directing a movie. In addition, he penned the lines and the script for the movie “The Sound,” which was distributed by Addrian Films, a production company that Zahedi owns.
