IAU Fazil (Pass) Result Published at www.result.iau.edu.bd

The Islamic Arabic University (IAU) has published the results of the three-year Fazil (Pass) Examination 2024. The results were formally announced on Thursday (29 January) at 10:00 am in Dhaka.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam announced the results at the university. Controller of Examinations Mohammad Ali handed over the official result copies during the event.

According to IAU, a total of 119,049 students appeared in the examinations across first, second, and third years. Among them, 111,994 students have passed. The combined average pass rate for all three years is 93.63 percent.

The year-wise results show variation in performance. The pass rate for the First Year is 88.84 percent. The Second Year recorded a pass rate of 96.42 percent. The Third Year achieved the highest success rate at 97.71 percent.

Students can check their individual results through the university’s official websites. These are www.result.iau.edu.bd and www.iau.edu.bd. The university has confirmed that institution-wise results will be available for download from next Sunday.

The Fazil (Pass) Examination was held from 25 October to 10 December last year. The examination was conducted under the supervision of the Islamic Arabic University, which oversees madrasa-level higher education in Bangladesh.

Speaking at the programme, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shamsul Alam congratulated the successful students. He said ensuring good academic results and a quality education system is a responsibility and a trust of the university. He added that efforts will continue to modernise madrasa education and make it more employment-oriented at both national and international levels.

Several senior officials were present at the announcement. They included Pro–Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Treasurer A S M Mamunur Rahman Khalili, Registrar Md. Ayub Hossain, and Madrasa Inspector Md. Gias Uddin. Teachers, officers, and staff of the examination department also attended.

The university said the results of 309 students have been temporarily withheld. Controller of Examinations Mohammad Ali stated that affected candidates do not need to apply separately. He said these withheld results will be published within the next 45 days.
