The Grand Finale of the UEFA Champions League will be on June 10th at Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. With only one round to go, two spots are entirely up for grabs, but one seems less so than the other. On Tuesday, May 16th (3:00 pm ET), Inter Milan will ‘host’ Game 2 of the
UCL Semifinals in the same stadium both inner-city rival teams share San Siro.
With a 2-0 aggregate score, Inter Milan are now deemed the heavy favorites to advance to the final. The good news for AC Milan is that, despite losing 0-2 as the home team in Game 1, UEFA has done away with its ‘away goal rule’ which would have benefitted the Nerazzuri even more.
The Italian UCL derby will take place on the day prior to the other semifinal (Manchester City vs Real Madrid), and will determine the first finalist of Europe’s marquee tournament.
