The National University (NU) has published a revised routine for the 2023 first-year final exams. According to the new dates, the exams will begin on October 21 instead of October 10. The Exam will continue until December 8, 2024.
Originally, the exams were set to start on October 10, but the new schedule has pushed the start date back by 11 days.
The updated schedule was published on Sunday, September 15, on the university’s official website. This information was also confirmed by the university’s public relations office.
According to the notice, the exams under the National University will now commence on October 21 and end on December 8. The university reserves the right to change the exam dates and times without prior notice. However, the exam start date was set for October 10 in the previous Honours 1st Year Exam Routine 2024.
The first exam will be on “The History of the Emergence of Independent Bangladesh,” a compulsory subject, and will start at 1:00 PM every day. Practical exams will follow after the theory exams are completed. The dates and times for the practical exams will be announced in due course.

Earlier, the University issued a notification regarding Honours 1st Year Routine for the session 2022-23. As per this, the exam was scheduled to be held on October 10. The authority has changed the routine amid thousands of students’ protests as the first day of Durga Puja 2024 will be observed on October 10.
