The concept of “success” varies from person to person and is determined by their ambitions. For some, success may be as easy as obtaining a promotion and having a secure career, yet for others, it may be a daily effort to become a better version of themselves. This clearly demonstrates that success is not constrained by any chain or limitation; rather, it is defined by an individual’s thinking. One constant in every scenario is hard effort and dedication because these two factors are what ensures success.
We’ve seen many accomplished people make major advances in their fields of expertise throughout the years due to their great abilities and drive to advance. Similarly, Queen Zaynab is establishing herself as a successful architect, designer, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. Her efforts in the sector have earned her a Humanitarian Award during United Nations Week in 2017. To be this successful, she had to go through some of the darkest times in her life, when society made it impossible for her to even breathe.
Living During Controversial Times
Being a royal is never simple since everyone is watching your every move, and if you make a mistake, it is all over the media, causing people to criticize you as a person and jeopardizing your reputation. She was born in the kingdom of Benin and married Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, who has been the monarch of the Yoruba kingdom of Ile-traditional Ife since 2015. But, for a variety of reasons, including a lack of compatibility, she filed for divorce in 2017. When this news became known, the media went crazy, making several unfounded accusations against her, one of which was that she was unable to conceive and was infertile. Queen Zaynab felt she had to move quickly before the people went crazy, so she broke silence and implied that the divorce might be the consequence of domestic abuse.
However, she is now the delighted mother of a lovely baby girl with an Arab Prince, proving all the claims against her false.
Community Service
Despite being shattered by the people, Queen Zainab is not afraid to serve them in any way she can through her Queen Zaynab Foundation (QZF). Over the years, she has assisted men, women, and children in every manner imaginable, with a specific focus on underprivileged communities that are struggling to survive. Her nonprofit has provided scholarships to children affected by the Boko Haram situation and has paid for the bulk of the children’s camps, including their education fees. They have also created a #ForwardInitiative in which they are on a quest to finance neighborhood orphanages and training facilities, and they have collected a total fundraising sum of $150,000.
Queen Zaynab has also achieved success in other areas of her life, such as when she attended an event organized by the Georgia and Asia-Africa Chamber of Commerce (GAACC) and the Union of Business Ladies (UBL) and when she served on the board of directors of the Beirut Fashion Council in Lebanon in 2018.
