A Water Bus in Sadarghat area of Buriganga River has sank while carrying around 55 to 60 passengers on Sunday (July 16, 2023). Till now a total of 30 passengers are missing reportedly.
The incident has took place on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at 08:30 PM. Fire Service Rescue team has reached the place after hearing the incident and start rescue operation. It is assumed that around 30 passengers are missing, report Prothom Alo.
Anwarul Islam Dolon, Member of Fire Service media cell said to media that, Sadarghat Water Bus Sinks incident has too place at 08:30 PM with 60 passengers. “It is assumed that around 30 passengers are missing who are fallen into water. Till now, seven people including child and women are rescued”, said Anwarul Islam.
