19th Teacher Registration Exam to Be Held in MCQ Format

The 19th Teacher Registration Examination will be held in multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, the chairman of the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA) confirmed on Monday.

Md. Aminul Islam, Chairman of the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority, made the statement on March 2 during a conversation with The Daily Campus.

He said the method of the exam is clearly stated in the official circular. “It does not say anywhere that there will be a written test. Therefore, there is nothing to be confused about,” he said. The 19th registration examination will be held in a 200-mark MCQ format, he added.

His remarks came after claims spread in several Facebook groups and pages that the 19th teacher registration would include a written examination. The chairman rejected those claims and urged candidates to follow the official notice.

The e-registration process for educational institutions began on February 9 ahead of the publication of the 19th Teacher Registration circular. The initial deadline was February 22, but authorities later extended it to March 1.

NTRCA will now begin collecting information on vacant posts through the e-requisition process. This step will help determine the number of teaching positions available in private educational institutions across Bangladesh.

The clarification is important for thousands of candidates preparing for the exam, as it confirms the test format and removes confusion about a possible written paper. Further updates are expected from NTRCA regarding the next stages of the recruitment process.
