Facebook now opening in Bangladesh without VPN

Facebook, WhatsApp, and other social media platforms were temporarily blocked by the Bangladesh Govt, now opening without a VPN connection. As a result, there is no need to use any third-party app or software to use social media on a Phone or PC.

As per the report, the most popular social media platform Facebook opened smoothly on Android phones today, Wednesday (July 31) at around 3:10 PM. In addition, Bangladeshi people can access WhatsApp without a VPN App. It is assumed that the govt has unblocked the platforms today.

Earlier today, millions of Bangladeshi people installed various apps including 1111 VPN to use Facebook, WhatsApp, TikTok, Instagram, and more. However, Cloudflare’s own VPN stopped working on July 29, 2024, due to a heavy load.

Meanwhile, some users have started sharing their thoughts regarding the social media unblock in the country.

“Facebook is running without a VPN! I am not feeling good. So that I am browsing Facebook using VPN” a user wrote on his Facebook post.

Note that, the Bangladesh government shut down the internet connection on July 17 all over the country to stop spreading misinformation during the Quota Reform Protest. Later, they restored the Broadband connection almost after one week of the shutdown. However, the authority has temporarily blocked Facebook and WhatsApp after restoring the internet.
