The HSC and Equivalent Exams of the postponed subjects will be held with full marks. The information has been announced by the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee. The committee also mentioned that a new HSC Routine 2024 will be published soon.
This information was provided in an urgent notice issued today Monday (August 12) by the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
The notice also addressed a rumor spreading on social media about the 2024 HSC exams being assessed with reduced marks. It clarified that this information is false and did not come from the Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
The notice confirmed that preparations are being made to hold the postponed HSC exams for 2024 according to the syllabus and marking scheme set by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board. The updated exam schedule will be announced soon through the Dhaka Education Board’s website and various media channels.

The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has advised everyone to stay alert and not believe false information.
Earlier, on Sunday (August 11) Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of the Dhaka Education Board and President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, told The Daily Campus that it would take at least one month to start the postponed HSC exams. Some exam papers stored at different police stations and treasuries were destroyed, so new question papers need to be prepared for the exams.
The HSC exams were postponed multiple times due to the violence surrounding the quota reform movement, as the safety of students became a priority. The exams were postponed three times, affecting a total of eight exam days. Initially, the boards planned to resume the exams on August 11 with a new schedule, but they were postponed again because of the destruction of the question papers.
Note that, HSC and equivalent exams for 2024 began on June 30. This year, a total of 1,450,790 students are registered under nine general education boards, the Technical Board, and the Madrasa Board.
