Professor Dr. Satya Prasad Majumder, the Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), has resigned from his position. Today, Sunday (August 18), he submitted his resignation letter to the Ministry of Education.
Dr. Majumder took on the role of BUET’s 14th Vice-Chancellor on June 25, 2020, during his first term. His first term was set to end on June 26, 2024. However, he was reappointed for a second term on July 3, 2024.
Satya Prasad Majumder hails from Ramnagar in the Daganbhuiyan Upazila of Feni district. He completed his SSC from D N High School in Chandpur in 1973 and his HSC from Chandpur College in 1975.
