Postponed 44th and 46th BCS Exams When will be held?

Following the resignation of the Awami League government, the 44th BCS oral exam and the 46th BCS written exam have been postponed. The Public Service Commission (PSC) has stated that these exams will not be conducted until the situation normalizes.

A senior PSC official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, informed to the media on Tuesday that the commission has sought directives from the Ministry of Public Administration on resuming the postponed exams and several other matters. However, no instructions have been received from the ministry yet.

Sources indicate that the constitutional body has come to a standstill due to the protests of non-cadre job aspirants from various BCS, including Junior Instructors. PSC officials are facing difficulties conducting their duties due to the aggressive behavior of these job seekers. Consequently, concerns are being raised about potential delays in BCS and other recruitment exams.

When asked about the resumption of the postponed exams, PSC Chairman Sohrab Hossain told the media, “We are waiting for directives from the ministry.”

Earlier, separate notices announced the postponement of the 44th and 46th BCS exams. The notice regarding the postponement of the 46th BCS exam stated that the written test, initially scheduled for August 28, has been postponed, with new dates to be announced later.

Regarding the postponement of the 44th BCS oral exam, PSC’s notice mentioned that the exam would remain postponed until September 19. The decision was made due to unavoidable circumstances.
