A fire broke out at a shipyard in Sitakunda, Chattogram. The incident took place while a ship was being dismantled, leaving six people severely burned and several others injured.
As per the report, the incident took place today, Saturday (September 7) at around 12 PM.
The Fire Service’s control room reported that the incident occurred around 12:30 PM at the SM Corporation yard in the Kumira area of Sitakunda. A loud explosion was heard during the shipbreaking process, followed by a fire. Two Fire Service units rushed to the scene upon receiving news of the blaze.
