The Admit Card download for the MBBS admission test for the academic year 2024-25 has officially started. Students who have applied can now download their cards from the admission portal which begins on Sunday (January 12), from 6 PM. The process will remain open until Tuesday (January 14). Students are advised to take a color print of their admission cards for smooth entry on the exam day.
Medical MBBS Admission Test 2025: Schedule
This year, 135,261 students have applied for the MBBS test. However, there are only 5,380 seats available, including reserved quota seats. This means that 25 students compete for each seat, making the test very competitive.
The MBBS admission test is scheduled to take place nationwide on Wednesday, January 17, 2025. On the other hand, the BDS admission test for dental colleges will be held on February 28.
The written test will follow the HSC syllabus and consist of 100 multiple-choice questions, with each question carrying 1 mark, totaling 100 marks. Students must achieve a minimum passing score of 40 to qualify.
MBBS 1st Year Admission Criteria
According to the policies set by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), certain conditions will apply for candidates taking the admission test for the second time. Their scores will be reduced in two specific ways as part of the rules.
Admission to government medical colleges is based strictly on merit. Students with top scores will secure seats in the most prestigious colleges.
There are 110 medical colleges in the country. Among them 37 are Govt, and 67 are private. There is also one Armed Forces Medical College and five private Army Medical Colleges.
The Directorate General of Health Education has reminded students to prepare according to the HSC syllabus for the exam. It is crucial to download the admission card within the given timeline and ensure all necessary preparations for the test day.
