Dhaka University – DU Admission Result 2024 is set to be published tomorrow (March 28). Candidates can check the Unit Wise Result called Merit List for the session 2023-24 through the official website. The Result will be available after 3 PM. The authority has confirmed the date and time officially.
This information was declared in a press release on Wednesday (March 27), signed by Mahmud Alam, director of the University’s public relations department.
It is said on the notice that the Dhaka University Admission Test Result for all units including Arts, Law and Social Sciences Unit, and Science Unit will be published on Thursday (March 28, 2024). The Merit List of the 1st Year Undergraduate Program will be available on the official website after 3 PM.
The authority stated that University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsud Kamal will be present as the chief guest to publish the result. The VC will officially announce the DU Admission Result 2024 for the admission test through a press conference in the virtual classroom of Prof. Abdul Matin Chowdhury’s administrative building.
According to the circular, the Dhaka University (DU) Admission test was started on February 23, 2024. The Arts, Law, and Social Sciences Unit exam was taken on the first day in 8 divisional cities of the country. After that, the next exam for Business Studies Unit was conducted on February 24.
In addition, the Science Unit on March 1, and Fine Arts (General knowledge and drawing) Admission test was held on March 9. The exam for all units except Fine Arts is taken in the 8 divisional cities including Dhaka Division. Dhaka University announced the expected date of the admission result on March 14, 2024.
As per the report, a total of 2,79,002 applicants have applied for Dhaka University Admission against 5,965 seats in 4 Units. So, 47 candidates appeared on the admission test for each seat for the academic year 2023-24. Among them, 1,22,080 applicants have submitted for the Science Unit.
The authority said to the media that, 1,12,225 candidates have applied for Faculty of Arts Law and Social Science against 2,934 seats. In addition, 37,660 applied for the Business Studies Unit.

Candidates can simply view the admission test result directly from the official website. For this, they will need to visit the website at admission.eis.du.ac.bd. On the other hand, the merit status can be found through mobile SMS.
Note that, candidates can use any SIM Operator including Robi, GrameenPhone, or Banglalink to check the admission result. For this, they must write the SMS according to the Unit Name.
