A fire has broke out in the office of United Commercial Bank’s Jubilee Road branch in Amtal area of Chittagong City. The incident took place at the Private Bank today in the evening at around 7 PM. However, the fire has brought under control at 9 PM.
As per the report, four units of Fire Service and Civil Defense from Chandanpura and Nandan Kanan stations has reached the place to control the fire. They succeeded to control the fire after 2 hours of operation. However, the smoke is still visible on the place.
According to the Fire Service, a fire broke out today at around 7 PM in the office of United Commercial Bank Limited (UCB) in the Rifle Club building. Four units of Chandanpura and Nandankanan Fire Service and Civil Defense are working to control the fire. However, the cause of the fire has not been identified yet.
Moinuddin Chowdhury, UCB Bank Manager (Operations) of Jubilee Road Branch told media that, “The incident took place today around seven in the evening. The bank was closed at that time. I came to the spot after getting the information from the security personnel.”
