Google News is back again after around 1 hour of worldwide outage. Now, the news tab of the search result and the homepage of Google News (news.google.com) are showing data.
Update: Google has identified the issue and we’re working on a fix.
As per the report, the incident of News and Discover took place today, Friday (May 27) at around 6:40 PM. However, the service is back again and showing the data at the right place after around 1 one-hour worldwide outage.
Till now, the blank page is showing on Google Discover. It is only showing “For more relevant content, turn on sync” on the unlogged Chrome Browser. It is assumed that the server will be back soon.
Meanwhile, Google has officially confirmed the service outage. “There’s an ongoing issue with serving some features in Google Search. We’ve identified the issue and we’re working on a fix,” announced through X.
