Honours Admission Result 2024: The National University (NU) has published the Honours 1st Year Admission Result for the session 2023-24. The 1st Merit List will be available today (March 18) from 4 PM on the admission portal as per the notice. Applicants can view the result by submitting the roll and pin number.

The information was confirmed on Monday through a press release. National University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mashiur Rahman signed the notice that was issued on the official website.

On March 13, 2024, the authority of the National University announced the result published date for Honours Admission. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mashiur Rahman confirmed the date regarding the 1st Merit Result. Later, a notice was issued on the National University website on March 15, 2024. It was signed by MD Ataur Rahman, Director of the University Public Relations Office.

It is said on the notice that the National University Honours Admission Result for the academic year 2023-24 is to be published on Monday (March 18). The Merit List will be available on the University Admission portal at 4 PM. The students who applied for admission, can check the merit status by roll and pin number.

National University Honours Admission Result 2023-24

This year, the admission circular for all colleges in the country was published on January 14. According to the circular, the online application for the Honours 4-Year Course was started on January 24 and continued till February 11. Later, the National University authority extended the application date to February 29, 2024.

The application fee was set at Taka 250 for Honours 1st Year Admission. The students who successfully submitted the admission form to the respective college, will receive the confirmation SMS on their registered phone. They are eligible to view the merit list on the result publish day.

As per the report, a large number of students have applied for Honours Admission. The important fact is, there will be no admission test for the session 2023-24. Students will be selected based on their GPA on SSC and HSC Exams.

Honours Admission Result 2024: Steps to Check Merit List

As the online application ended on February 29, admission aspirants eagerly await for the result. They can simply view the 1st Merit List directly from the National University Portal. For this, they will need to provide the roll and pin number, that is available on the admission form.

For convenience, students can apply the step by step instructions mentioned below. It will help them to view the Honours Admission Result easily. It will take a few seconds, to display the merit list on the screen.

  • Step 1: Firstly, you will need to type the National University website URL (nu.ac.bd or nubd.info).
  • Step 2: You can copy and paste the given URL into the browser.
  • Step 3: Press the enter key from the Keyboard. It will be sent to the homepage.
  • Step 4: On the page, click on “Admissions”. Now, the portal will be displayed on the screen.
  • Step 5: Select the Course Name “Honours”.
  • Step 6: Find out the “Applicant Login” menu and click there.
  • Step 7: Now, type the “Admission Roll and PIN” into the desired box.
  • Step 8: Recheck the credentials and click on the “Login” button available on the page. It will allow you to access the candidate profile.
  • Step 10: Now, Merit Status will be visible on the profile.
  • Step 11: Download the admission form and take a printout.

The admission aspirants can simply get the merit list by applying the above instructions. The profile page will let them know whether they are selected or not. In addition, students can directly enter the admission website via http://app1.nu.edu.bd/. Then, click on the “Applicant’s Login” and submit the information.

Merit List via Mobile SMS

Apart from online, there is an alternative method at the National University. Applicants will be eligible to view the assigned subject name with the college name on Mobile SMS. For this, they will need to send an SMS at 16222 along with the admission roll number.

Here’s the procedure;

  • Open the SMS application from Android or iPhone.
  • Tap on the “Write New message”.
  • Type nu <space> athn <space> application roll

Example: nu athn 44255154

Finally, send the SMS at 16222 using any Mobile Network. It will charge 2.5 Taka or more from the account balance. Then, the merit status along with the assigned subject and college name will be available on the reply SMS for selected candidates. Otherwise, it will show “You Are Not Assigned”.

National University Selection Criteria

National University has started the selection process instead of the admission test for the first time from the 2015-16 session. Till now, no admission test will be held to select aspirants. So, there will be no admission test as mentioned in the circular.

The authority will select the candidates based on the total GPA of the SSC and HSC Exams. The whole process will be completed using the computer program. Then, selected candidates need to pay the admission fee to the respective college within the deadline.
