HSC Exam 2025 to be held on full syllabus

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and Equivalent Examination of 2025 are to be held on a full syllabus instead of a short syllabus. The Exam will be taken on all subjects with full marks.

The information was announced through an office order on Monday (December 18, 2023). The notice was published on the official website of the Higher Secondary Education Board. It was signed by Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman of the Dhaka Board.

As per the given notice, the HSC Exam 2025 and its equivalent examinations are to be taken according to the full syllabus. National Curriculum and Textbook Board (NCTB) Bangladesh will prepare the syllabus for All Education Board of the country. The exam will be held on all subjects with full marks.

The authority also stated that “The exam to be start from 10 AM and continue till 1 PM as per the routine. So, examinees will get 3 hours for each exam. In addition, the MCQ Question Paper will be distributed in the first period of the exam. After that, the Written Exam (CQ) will be taken like the past years.”

So, those students who are going to sit for HSC Exam 2025, must need to collect the Syllabus. National Curriculum and Textbook Board, Bangladesh will publish the syllabus soon through the official website at dshe.gov.bd or nctb.gov.bd

Earlier, the Higher Secondary Board announced the Short Syllabus for the Examination of 2024. The exam will be taken in April or June, said the Education Minister. However, SSC and Equivalent Exam 2024 are to be taken on the full syllabus.

The SSC and Equivalent Exam going to start in the 2nd week of February 2024. The authority decided to conduct the exam in full syllabus after 3 years. Education Board will publish the SSC Routine after finalization, said Dhaka Board Chairman.
