The Detective Branch (DB) has arrested Milton Samadder, also known as Manobotar Feriwala, chairman of the charity organization ‘Child & Old Age Care’, today (May 1) from the capital’s Mirpur area.
As per the report, a team of DB police of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested him today at around 7:30 PM.
Harun Or Rashid, DMP’s Detective Branch Additional Commissioner, officially confirmed this information. He said to the media that, Milton Samadder was arrested at around 7:30 PM on Wednesday (May 1) from the capital’s Mirpur area.
Note that, Milton Samadder established Child & Old Age Care in 2024. There are many allegations against Milton including the trade of human organs. In addition, it is also alleged that he is involved in making fake death certificates and land grabbing.
Once the information spread on social media, the incident became a trending topic across the country.
Meanwhile, he denied the allegations in many posts on Facebook and in various interviews including Channel i, Janakantha. “Those allegations have come against me, all are fake! But, I have made some mistakes in the death certificates. Countries law can take actions if they can prove the allegations,” he said in an interview.
