The Preliminary Examination of the 46th BCS is all set to be conducted today (Friday, April 26). The MCQ Type exam will start in the morning at 10 AM and continue till 12 PM in 215 centers under 8 divisions of the country, said on the notice.
The Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) declared the Preliminary Examination Date for the 46th BCS Notification. As per this, the exam was scheduled to be held on March 9, 2024. However, the date has been postponed due to the city corporation election.
Later, the Preli Exam date was fixed for April 26, 2024. The authority also issued a press notice in this regard. The notice was signed by PSC Controller of Examinations (Cadre) Ananda Kumar Biswas.
Meanwhile, the authority has published the 46th BCS Seat Plan on Tuesday (April 23). A notice was issued on the official website regarding the Preliminary Test. As per this, the 46th BCS Preli Exam is set to start today at 10 AM. As mentioned in the notice, the MCQ Type test will continue till 12 PM.
While this news, the Preliminary Examination has started at 10 AM in 215 centers under the Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh divisions of the country.
As per the report, the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) issued the 46th BCS Notification on November 30 last year. The online application was started on December 10 and continued till December 31, 2023.

It is said in the notification that BPSC going to recruit 3,140 candidates in various cadres including General, admin, Police, Health, and Professional/Technical Cadres. Among them, 1,682 vacancies in the health cadre; 1,682 assistant surgeons, and 16 assistant dental surgeons.
