The Honours admission exam date for the 2025–2026 academic session at National University will likely take place after Eid ul-Fitr. The university will announce the exact exam date and time soon.
In a recent notice, the university also confirmed that affiliated colleges will remain closed from March 9 until the Eid holiday ends. The break will apply to all colleges under the National University system across Bangladesh.
Earlier, the online application period for Honours admission was scheduled to end on January 31. However, the university later extended the deadline to February 22, 2026, allowing more applicants to complete the process.
According to the admission circular, the test will be held separately for three academic groups. These groups are Humanities, Science, and Business Studies. Each group will sit for its own admission test.
The exam will follow a multiple-choice question format. The test will carry a total of 100 marks. Candidates will receive one hour to answer 100 questions.
The official notice also confirmed that there will be no negative marking. Students will not lose marks for incorrect answers in the test.
The final merit list will be prepared based on a total of 200 marks. Half of the marks will come from the admission test. The remaining 100 marks will come from students’ past academic results.
Of these academic marks, 40 per cent will come from the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) GPA, including the fourth subject. The remaining 60 per cent will come from the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) GPA.
Subject-wise merit lists will be prepared for each college. These lists will consider students’ preferred subjects during the admission process.
The university is expected to announce the detailed schedule for the admission test after the Eid holiday. Candidates who are waiting for the Honours Admission Test date must prepare for it to secure a seat.
