Motorola confirms Razr Fold launch in India this month

Motorola has confirmed that its new Razr Fold smartphone will launch in India later this month. The company shared a teaser on social media, while an official product page on Flipkart confirmed the device name and timeline.

The teaser post did not mention the model directly. It used the line “Something flawless is coming soon.” However, the image showed a book-style foldable phone, matching the design of the Razr Fold.

The Razr Fold was first introduced at CES earlier this year. It has already gone on sale in parts of Europe and the United Kingdom.

This device is the first book-style foldable phone from Motorola. It features an 8.1-inch inner folding screen and a 6.6-inch outer display. The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is a high-end mobile processor. It also includes a 6,000mAh battery, designed for longer usage.

The camera setup includes three rear lenses. These are a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The phone also has two front cameras, with 20 megapixels on the inner screen and 32 megapixels on the cover screen.

In Europe, the phone comes in Pantone Lily White and Pantone Blackened Blue colours. It is not yet clear if the same options will be available in India.

The India launch is important for regional markets, including Bangladesh, where interest in premium foldable phones is growing. Pricing and exact sale dates are expected to be announced at the official launch event later this month.
