Fresh details about the upcoming Honor Magic9 Pro Max have appeared online months before its expected launch.
According to a new leak from China, the phone may feature a 6.8-inch to 6.89-inch LTPO OLED display with “1.5K” resolution and 2.5D curved glass. LTPO is a display technology that helps improve battery efficiency by adjusting the refresh rate automatically.
The leak also claims the device will include a 200MP main camera with a large 1/1.28-inch sensor. A second 200MP periscope telephoto camera is also expected. Periscope cameras use a special lens setup to improve long-range zoom performance.
The phone is said to support an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and 3D face unlock. Both features are commonly used in premium smartphones for secure authentication.
The report further suggests the device could offer high-power wireless charging and strong water resistance. However, the exact charging speed and IP rating were not mentioned.

The upcoming flagship is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 processor. It remains unclear whether Honor will use the standard Gen 6 version or a possible Pro variant.
Battery size could be one of the phone’s biggest highlights. The leak says the handset will carry a battery capacity starting with the number 8, which points to a range between 8,000mAh and 8,999mAh. If accurate, that would place it among the largest batteries seen in a mainstream flagship smartphone.
Honor launched the Magic8 series in October last year. Based on that timeline, the Magic9 lineup could arrive around the same period this year, although the company has not officially confirmed any launch date yet.
